Best of Q4: Manny-O-War’s List

q4 header

I feel like Q4 gets a really raw deal. Between October 1 and December 31 a bunch of albums get released. Some of them are stellar and will populate the Holy Grail of lists, the year end list. Other albums may be terrific in their own right but may not rise to the level that gets them on all the end of the year lists. Thus, I dedicated a few extra moments of my less than valuable time to put together a top 9 for the 4th Quarter of 2015.

Not much intro is necessary here. In the coming week(s), my end of the year list will be out and, although some of these albums will be listed there in detail, some may not. And that’s a shame. 2015 saw so much music that deserved to be listened to and adored but sadly didn’t provide enough time for all of us to sit down and do so. So please, take a gander at these 9 albums and give them a few minutes of your time.

Top Nine Releases: October – December 2015

9. Diavolos – You Lived, Now Die

8. KvltistCatechisis

7. SerocsAnd When the Sky Was Opened

6. Serpent’s Lair – Circumambulating the Stillborn

5. Kowloon Walled CityGrievances

4. Temple of BaalMysterium

3. HorrendousAnareta

2. ÆvangelistEnthrall to the Void of Bliss

1. VastumHole Below

So you can look forward to a full recap of the year from me in the coming week(s). Some of these albums will be included and some may not be. You don’t know. Only I do. Regardless, they are all very important albums that require just a tiny amount of your time and appreciation. So take some time out of your busy day of Snapchatting photographs of your pubic hair to your best friend and listen to these albums. It will change your life for the better.
