• Starting with a couple tour updates. I had announced these previously, but now we actually have dates to go with the tours. Updates for Slipknot and Marilyn Manson, for one. But also Disturbed and Breaking Benjamin.
• Former Nightwish vocalist Anette Olzon was mugged in Sweden while walking home from her car. The attacker is already in custody. Obviously we hope for the best for Anette, who is one of the cooler people in metal.
• Mastodon are opening a rehearsal space in Atlanta. It will be called Ember City and the plan is for it to house up to 20 individual rehearsal rooms. This is very, very cool for the Atlanta music community.
• Eight Bells guitarist, Melynda Jackson, broke her leg in an incident at their show last night with Voidvod and Vektor. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover the cost of some of the expenses. Do the good thing and donate.
• Ghost Bath has signed with Nuclear Blast. Moonlover will be re-released later this year. In the meantime, let’s check out the video for “Golden Number.”
