Busy day in the inbox! And it’s mostly good stuff!

  • Gozu rules. Let’s talk some more about Gozu. The Boston stoner/fuzz group have Gozu VI coming on May 15th via Blacklight Media/Metal Blade Records. We already knew this. But today they gave us a fresh sample from their new album, titled “Corinthian Leatherface”. And, yep, it rules.
  • DevilDriver is a name I haven’t heard in quite some time. But for fans of the veteran groove metal project I’m happy to share that a new album is on the way. Strike and Kill will be out on July 10th through Napalm Records and a video for “Dig Your Own Grave” can be seen here.
  • Atmospheric folk/black metal entity Duir have set June 26th as the release for their second album, Catarsi. That will be an AOP Records release and “Impeto” is available now. Do I like atmospheric bm? Yes. Do I tend towards AOP releases? Yes. Count me in.
  • Bestial death metal horde Pig’s Blood have Destroying the Spirit out next week through Dark Descent, but if you want to take a beating a little early “Standing in Depravity” can be streamed here.
  • We’re only a couple of weeks out from No Place of Warmth, the new album from Frozen Soul, so we’ll wrap up with the video for “Deathweaver”. That album is officially out on May 8th through Century Media and… I can’t wait.

“Ein Bier… bitte.”
