• Some tragic news to start off with this Monday. Sockweb founder Adam Young passed away over the weekend. The father piece of the father/daughter grindcore act appears to have committed suicide.
• A recent update from Metallica indicates that they have finished writing their new album and are currently in the mixing stage. Neat-O.
• How about a new tour I’m going to be forced to miss? Baroness will be hitting the road with Pallbearer and will be in the northeast just in time for me to head to Migration. Yay!
• It’s been a rough weekend so I really want to close things out on a light note (before getting to the video). Lordi will have a new album in September. Huzzah!
• Finally, Gojira offers up an awesome new track called “The Shooting Star”.
