CANTO: Threshold, Therion, Slugcrust, and More

Life is getting weird, folks. But with weirdness comes opportunity? Something like that.

  • To kick things off on this bizarre Friday of a bizarre week, we have new stuff from Threshold. The progressive metallers are releasing Dividing Lines on November 18th through Nuclear Blast, and today they unveiled the second single from that album, titled “King Of Nothing”.
  • Screw it, let’s grab another one off the Nuclear Blast pile. Therion just released “Pazuzu”, the latest single from Leviathan II. That drops on October 28th. So if you’re looking for some symphonic metal going into your weekend, you may as well start here.
  • It was Dead End Kings that officially got me hooked on Katatonia… forever. So I’m happy to announce that Peaceville is releasing the 10th anniversary of that incredible album on November 11th. And I truly cannot believe that release was 10 years ago. Anyway, here’s a preview link.
  • Closing out with something from the Prosthetic camp, we have the latest from Slugcrust. Their debut album, Ecocide, is out on September 9th, and the video for “Demise Promise” is available right below. Enjoy.
