I appreciate the warmer weather, not the unceasing rain. Time for some doom metal I guess.

• Just kidding… let’s start with something fuzzy. High Desert Queen released a video for the new single “Ancient Aliens”, the first material taken from their upcoming new album. Palm Reader, their sophomore effort, arrives on May 31 through Magnetic Eye Records.
• We’ve been following the new stuff from North Sea Echoes pretty close, so may as well keep that party rolling. The latest material, a new video for “Throwing Stones”, can be seen here. As a reminder, Really Good Terrible Things is out through Metal Blade.
• Gouge Away has a new full-length coming on March 15 through Deathwish titled Deep Sage, and today they offered up the new track “Spaced Out”. Be sure to catch them on the road in the coming months as well.
• Should we include some power metal? Probably. So on that note, Vhäldemar are releasing Sanctuary Of Death on May 9 through MDD Records, and a playthrough of “Old King’s Visions (Part VII)” can be seen here.
• Next up, a little melodeath out of Finland. Before The Dawn are dropping their new EP, Archaic Flame, this coming Friday through Napalm Records, and today they unveiled a video for the new single “Chaos Sequence”. Check it out below.
