The 434th edition of the Nine Circles Playlist has been thinking about the pregnant pause that is Holy Saturday. If you were raised Christian, you probably learned that Good Friday was the day Jesus was hung and died on the cross; Easter Sunday he rose again. So what’s Saturday? I like to think it’s the day Jesus just chilled in that cave, just listening to the new track from Converge and marveling over a second full length in a year that already gave us a monumental EOY contender. I mean, that’s what I’ve been doing in between bouts reacquainting myself with Alice in Chains after rectifying the mistake of not having any physical copies in the house.
