The good news is that it’s going to snow again this week… wait, that’s not good news at all. At least the inbox is fairly quiet on this April Fools’ Day, a day that has always annoyed me. Actually, to that point, I don’t know if any of this news is actually real. Whatever. I’m sure you’ll figure it out.
- Americana doom collective Huntsmen revealed details around their third album. The Dry Land will be out on June 7 through Prosthetic Records, and while the lead single is still a few weeks away, here’s a bit of a preview.
- Finnish melodic black/death metal outfit Nemus Anima are releasing The God Of Forest on June 1, their sophomore album. Check out the lyric video for “Talking Dead” here.
- Chicago-based horror-themed death metallers Necronomicon Ex Mortis are releasing a new EP titled You and Your Friends Are Dead: Game Over on June 29, and with that note they shared a lyric video for “Leprechaun”, which you can find here.
- Also out of Chicago, Rae Amitay and Kayhan Vaziri’s Wretched Blessing are dropping their self-titled debut EP on April 26, and to celebrate that news you can stream “Spurious Ovation” over at their Bandcamp page.
- Finally, since I’m a complete sucker for cosmic black metal, check out “Pillars of Creation” from Ordalie below. The second full-length out of that project, Indifferent Universe, is out on June 7 through Paragon Records.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
