I have absolutely no idea how it’s only Wednesday. And I’m also not cool with the absolute hurricane of pollen happening outside.
- Leading off, we have Italian prog-metal collective Kingcrow. Their eighth album will be out on August 23 through Season of Mist, titled Hopium. Check out the album’s leading single, “Kintsugi”, right now.
- The Jesus Lizard announced their first new album in… over two and a half decades. Holy crap. Rack arrives on September 13 through Ipecac Recordings, their first since 1998’s Blue. A preview emerged today in the form of “Hide & Seek”.
- This tour intrigues me. Phoenix death metallers Thra announced a North American run in August, kicking off on the 9th in Albuquerque. They’ll be joined by Urine Hell on select dates. The full schedule can be seen here.
- And then some doom out of New Jersey. Drift Into Black shared a video for “December”, the third single taken from Voices Beneath the Rubble. That album is out on June 28 through Black Lion Records.
- Swedish melodic death and black metallers Kvaen unveiled the latest from The Formless Fires, and that’s the note we’ll end on. Check out “The Ancient Gods” below. That album is out on June 21 through Metal Blade.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
