I do not know where today went, but I’m also not worried about it. Is this Monday as quiet in the inbox as others have been? Kinda hope so!
- Finnish folkloric black metal to start… absolutely. The Mist From The Mountains unveiled some new material from Portal – The Gathering of Storms, in the form of a single edit of “Sáiva”. Their second album is set for an October 11 release through Primitive Reaction.
- And next we’ll jump to some German blackened death metal. The Spirit are releasing their fourth album, Songs Against Humanity, on October 25 through AOP Records. Check out the second single from that effort, “Room 101”.
- All hail green death metal albums (which still fall far behind purple black metal albums). But I digress. Ritual Fog are releasing But Merely Flesh, their debut, on November 29 through Transcending Obscurity. Listen to a couple of new tracks here.
- Quick update from Heavy Chicago! Pelican are co-headlining the opening night with Bongripper, which rules. That festival is the weekend of November 1st and all the information you need is right here.
- And I’ll see myself out with some doom. Check out the new video from Temple Witch for “Chase Tigers Away” below. Their latest album, Ocean Thousand, Mountain Thousand, is out through Wormholedeath.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
