…The mental and physical preparation for the weekend ahead has begun.
- Finnish folk metal to lead off the last Canto of the week (probably). Ensiferum released the new single titled “Long Cold Winter of Sorrow and Strife”. Similarly on brand, Winter Storm is out on October 18 through Metal Blade.
- Death metal out of Prosthetic Records! Molder shared their new single titled “Bursted Innards”, taken from their forthcoming new album Catastrophic Reconfiguration. That drops on November 8. FYI this song title makes me want to watch Alien.
- Swedish black metal stalwarts Mörk Gryning announced a new album. Fasornas Tid is out on December 13 through Season of Mist, and “Tornet” can be heard here as a preview.
- The hype is real for Frozen Crown, the power metal crew out of Italy. Check out the video for the title track from War Hearts here. That album is set for an October 18 release through Napalm Records.
- Gonna bookend this thing with Metal Blade. Whitechapel gave us a video for a new single today titled “A Visceral Retch”. Check it out below. They’re on tour with Lorna Shore (get me there please and thanks) starting later this month.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
