Today was a trail run day. Those are usually good days. This trail run was… hot and muddy. In other news, will I mark my return to MDF in 2026? That’s a strong ‘maybe’!

• To kick things off, we have some American post-rock out of Pelagic Records. Hiroe unveiled a video for their latest single, “Collider”, a track taken from Wield. That new album is out on June 20th.
• Moving in a different direction, Finnish extreme metal band Vanguardian shared the new single “LI-2 XA-1”. That’s the fourth offering from their upcoming debut album… which I know nothing about apparently.
• Jonathan Hultén released Eyes Of The Living Night back at the end of January through Kscope, and is keeping that momentum up with a new video for “Song Of Transience”.
• Swedish hard rockers Skräcken shared the third single from their debut album, a track titled “Visions of Fire”. Echoes From the Void is set for a June 20th release through Dying Victims, so keep that date circled.
• And to wrap up, we have a signing announcement. Psycroptic have signed with Metal Blade Records for the release of their forthcoming new album. Check out “Architects of Extinction” below and we’ll keep you posted as more stuff emerges.
