The 391st edition of the Nine Circles Playlist awakes having celebrated another revolution around the sun, having actually slept thanks to taking most of the week off of work. Coffee is close by but not needed when you have something as explosive as the brand new single from Car Bomb going off in my ears – if this a preview of what’s pent up after radio silence since 2019 I can’t wait to have the full thing in front of me. Couple that with some new A-Z, Gruesome, and the stoner jazz doom of the Hedvig Mollestad Trio and you got yourselves the making of a playlist, folks.

The 9C crew are all recovering from various ailments, self-inflicted or otherwise, but a few folks managed to throw some heavy our way, including classic Metallica, some pure evil hate from the likes of Bludgeoned By Deformity and Spinal Fluid, new music from Amorphis and Paradise Lost, a heaping dose of Drouth, and a track from Old Machines I’m just going to put down in its entirety:
