I don’t care who you are, your background, or your beliefs, the events that have unfolded over the past couple weeks have changed everything. Shifted. Uneasy. I can feel it in the air. And no I’m not talking about the weather although yes, that has shifted too. If you’re stateside and have no idea what I’m referring to, well..remove head from ass and pay attention. As usual though and while I feel very out of sorts to put it lightly, I find calm and space to process all this in music and it never lets me down, EVER. With that said, it’s a good thing that we’re back and looking at another week’s worth of excellent new releases that starts with amazeballs heavy metal from Castle Rat, then some vicious death grind from Tithe, gore drenched death metal from Dying Remains, and some post-punk from Scorpion Milk that I think you need to take a chance on.
