It’s Friday night. Hockey is on. I’m drinking out of a spoopy mug. That thing I’m drinking is a beer. Things don’t suck.

• We begin our evening with the melodic death metal newcomers out of Redwood City, The Hunt. A video for their second single, “Onslaught”, can be seen here.
• German industrial metallers Soulbound revealed “Chaos & Amen”, the second track to emerge from their forthcoming new album. That effort, sYn, is out on January 16th through Metalville.
• Ukrainian progressive modern metal outfit Korypheus shared a new music video for “Sleeper”, a track that features Laura Guldemond. Gilgamesh is out now through M-Theory Audio.
• A couple of big ticket items to wrap up the week with. First, Despised Icon dropped “The Apparition” two weeks ahead of the release of their seventh album, Shadow Work. That one will be out through Nuclear Blast.
• And finally, Gaerea have the release of their next album in motion. Loss will be out on March 26th through Century Media and below is a clip for “Hellbound”. I absolutely adore this band.
