What a long week today has been.

  • Let’s start with some sludge. Austrian doom crew Tarlung have signed on with Argonauta Records for the release of their upcoming new album, Axis Mundi. That’s set to arrive on January 30th and you can check out “Static Noise” now.
  • Another signing announcement. Alabama’s Wielded Steel have joined Massachusetts-based hardcore label 1126 Records. To mark that, watch their video for “Your Words Mean Nothing” right now.
  • The Old Dead Tree dropped their first album since 2007 last year, and they’re already back with more in the form of London Sessions, a new EP recorded live at Abbey Road Studios. Check out “Time Has Come” here.
  • You know what? Fuck it. One more signing. Metal Blade has welcomed Greek black metallers Yoth Iria, and we can expect a new album early next year. But, they’ll be touring Europe before all of that should you be over there and interested.
  • And we’ll wrap up with the animated video from Death Angel for “Cult of the Used”. They’ll be on tour in December performing their classic album, Act III, in its entirety.
