I went for a run in the cold today and obviously my entire outlook improved from that point forward.

  • We start with yet another tour. Lacuna Coil announced the U.S. leg of the Sleepless Empire Tour 2026, and it kicks off on March 24th at the Gramercy Theater in NYC. Damn… so many memories from that venue over the years. Sigh. Anyway, tickets go on sale Friday here.
  • Melodic doom outfit Orchid Throne offered up a video for “Moonlight Revelry”, the second single from their upcoming debut album. Buried in Black is set for a January 9th release.
  • I think today could use some power metal. Austrian crew Dragony released a lyric video for the brand new single “Shadow and Flame”. And, yep, that’s what I was hoping it would be. That arrives a couple of weeks before their European tour with Ensiferum and Freedom Call.
  • Italian heavy metal band Hyperion are releasing Cybergenesis on January 15th through Fighter Records, and they just shared a visualizer for “Yet We Still Fight” as the third sample from that.
  • And I leave you with the latest from Worm. A video for the new single “Blackheart” is below, the second part of the Necropalace short film series. Their new album of the same name is out on February 13th through Century Media.

“Ein Bier… bitte.”
