Not sure if you’ve been keeping up with our Best of 2025 extravaganza but we’re closing in on its end so smoke ‘em while you got ‘em. Or you can read them anytime here on the site, haha. With Best of season nearly over, we usher in a new year of more neck snappin’ fun. But first, this week’s new releases sees Ov Sulfur kick out one of the most varied deathcore albums in recent memory. Think KsE meets Slaughter To Prevail and you’d at least be in the right realm but still, this thing is full of fantastic little surprises. Next up is HyperioN who go full on sci-fi and hive mind and humans on the brink of destruction on their newest slab of hard charging heavy metal, then we close the top slots with the Game of Thrones inspired black metal from Viserion and honestly, being a GoT fan is NOT a requirement, these dudes absolutely RIP!
