I ran in the woods and listened to In Flames on vinyl when I got home. This afternoon did not suck.

• Wednesday begins with crossover hardcore/thrash veterans Extinction A.D. and their new track “They Live, They Die”. That’s actually their fifth new song of the year, a lyric video for which is available here.
• In the Company of Serpents announced a brief run of shows around their appearance at Asheville Doomed & Stoned on July 18th. Here are those July dates if you’re interested.
• Tunisian-French progressive metal outfit Myrath celebrated the success of the recently released Wilderness of Mirrors with a tour video for “Through the Seasons”.
• How about we sprinkle in a little German power metal? Stormhammer released a video for their new single “Scars Of The Abyss”. It’s what you’d want it to be. Probably. Wrath Of The Hammer is out on July 17th through ROAR, a division of Reigning Phoenix Music.
• Whenever new Insomnium emerges it tends to be a good day. A video for “Shadowlife” is below, the first new material from an upcoming new album. Details for that are mostly still to come but it seems like we can expect it in October.
