At least the inbox was fairly tame today. The rest of the world? Not so much.

• Dharmethic, a newer heavy project formed in 2023, will release Self-Antagonized on September 11th. That’s a Via Nocturna drop and a visualizer for “Black Vengeance” is available now.
• Australian rockers Emergency Rule returned with an energetic new single, “Hollow Gold”. That serves as the first taste of their sophomore album, Modern Day Villain, which will be out… eventually I guess? The single is also a month old apparently. My bad. I’ll get ’em next time.
• How about a dose of post-metal for a Monday? Unverkalt dropped a new video for “Ænæ Lithi”. That’s a heavy one. But like, emotionally and stuff. Héréditaire is out now through Season of Mist.
• We’ll close with an obvious choice. Marrow Deep, the new album from Mastodon, will be out on August 28th. I think we’re all aware of the journey they’ve been on recently, so this is big. Check out the video for “Snakes For Dinner” below. They teamed up with Josh Homme for this one and it’s pretty damn good.
