I’m like… 20% of the way through my photo backlog. Maybe. That’s intimidating! So, time for a quick break to catch up on the day’s news.

• Should we open with the latest from Wayfarer? Um, yes. With preorders for Riders of the Setting Sun officially live, we also got “Hollow Hearts on the Trail to Eden”. And I gotta say, the more I listen to these first couple of samples, the more I like them. Their new album drops on November 20th via Vesperian.
• South Africa slamming deathcore outfit Vulvodynia shared a standalone new single titled “Twin Tyrants” through Unique Leader. That one, which features new vocalist Maya Pobst, can been seen and heard here.
• French two-piece project Hardiesse have set September 30th as the release date for Tristesse Vespérale, their debut MLP. That will be available through Antiq and the new track “Beffroit” is streaming through Bandcamp.
• Swedish punk crew Wolfbrigade have a new album out in about a month titled Howl From Underground and a clip for “Cold War Bootlicker” can be seen and heard as a sample from that. A solid way to end Monday. That album is officially an October 9th release through Metal Blade.
