• English psych-doomers Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats announced their first-ever full North American tour. Having seen them at MDF last month, all I’ll say here is: do not miss this show when it comes to your town.
• Shredder extraordinaire Marty Friedman called sweep-picking “very unmusical.” SHOTS FIRED.
• Metal Insider is out with a new installment of Metal By Numbers and WHO ARE ANY OF THESE BANDS? SERIOUSLY.
• And finally, (yes, it was a slow-ish news day) members of Anthrax apparently joined Limp Bizkit on stage for a performance of “Bring the Noise” in Hamburg, Germany, yesterday, and Fred Durst could not possibly be half-assing this any more if he tried.
