Gloryhammer are not messing around. Sure, their thing might be a bit tongue in cheek. Sure, they prefer monikers like their fictional names Angus McFife XIII, Prince of the Galactic Empire of Fife, and Zargothrax, the Dark Sorcerer of Auchtermuchty. But, when you think about it, who wouldn’t? Those are some pretty badass names. And if the frozen wizard had become unfrozen and risen to once again unleash hell, you’re going into battle with a cool name.
The video features the band in all their regalia. In fact, it’s very similar to what they wear on stage. I wasn’t kidding when I said they are not messing around. “Rise of the Chaso Wizards” is the most important track on Gloryhammer’s newest release Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards (review here). The track sets the tone and theme for the entire album. No longer defending the kingdom of Fife, Gloryhammer must now do battle with the evil wizard in dark galactic skies. The fate of the universe is at stake and only a ripping guitar solo can save them.
So prepare yourself for battle. Adorn yourself in space worthy gear. Charge your laser weapons and steel yourself against the evil forces of the chaos wizard!
