The Haunted

May 11, 2017

Good morning, it’s time to metal. Here’s some news you might have missed from yesterday:

    • Leading off, The Haunted have announced that their new album, Strength in Numbers, will be out August 25 via Century Media. Let’s see if the Swedes can keep their post-Peter-Dolving momentum going!

    • A bit late to the party on this one (whoops!) but Spellcaster have broken up. Found out about these guys through #metalbandcampgiftclub, and this is a bummer for sure. All best to the guys in their future ventures.
    • Good news from Satyricon, who’ve signed a worldwide deal with Napalm Records and will be releasing their new album in September. Glad to see all’s well with frontman Satyr.
    • GorgutsRevocationFallujah and Havok have announced a nifty little mini-tour throughout Europe. I say “nifty” because the running order will change each night. All except for Venom Prison, who are stuck on opening duty every night. I’d say “sucks to be them,” but they’re playing with three solid-to-killer bands and Havok, so…it doesn’t, really.
    • Apparently four years is a long-enough wait for a new album in the Alice in Chains camp; guitarist Jerry Cantrell revealed that the band will be hitting the studio next month to record the follow-up to 2013’s The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here.
    • Our buds at Invisible Oranges premiered the new split from Cloud Rat and Disrotted, which you should absolutely go check out here.
    • Apparently, Marilyn Manson‘s ditched the working title Say10 for his new album. Instead, it’ll be called Heaven’s Upside Down.
  • And finally, here’s a new video from Candiria for “While They Were Sleeping”:

That’ll do it for now — check back this time tomorrow for our next edition!

Keep it heavy,
