Anyone going around saying COVID has been kicked needs to take a look at my lungs. I’m on Day 6 since testing positive and only just starting to get some relief from the coughing, shaking, fevers, and congestion that makes it feel like I’m breathing through a cheesecloth covered in mud. Anyway, who’s up for the 298th edition of the Nine Circles Playlist?

This past week was kind of a treasure of great releases, none more so than the latest from Celestial Sanctuary. I loved their debut, and this new one blows it out of the water. Also that new Incantation is overflowing with filth and riffs. And is anyone else shocked that perhaps one of the strongest, most consistent death metal albums to come out this year is courtesy of Dethklok? All that’s on deck, plus cuts from Alkaloid, Bolt Gun, Inherits the Void, Panopticon, Nuclear Power Trio, Knife, In Flames, Boris, and a bunch more.
