I’m not gonna lie, it does feel good to be beyond EOY season (at least personally).

• Should we lead in with Borknagar? Yeah, we should do just that. Check out “Nordic Anthem” here. That’s the latest sampling taken from Fall, which is out on February 23 through Century Media… in case you needed a reminder.
• Next up, Sylosis. They just dropped a new video for the track “Absent”. That one is taken from their latest album, A Sign Of Things To Come, which dropped last September through Nuclear Blast.
• Jesus Piece and Sanguisugabogg are co-headling a North American run this coming April and May. Support will be in the form of Peeling Flesh and Gag, and tickets go on sale this coming Friday.
• Death metal trio Shock Withdrawal announced details surrounding their debut album, The Dismal Advance. That will be out on March 15 through Brutal Panda, and a video for a new single, “Oblivion Seeker”, was revealed today.
• Let’s wrap up with some black metal. The clip for “Hearken The End” from Hulder can be seen below. Verses In Oath, one of the more anticipated releases in early 2024, is set for a February 9 drop through 20 Buck Spin.
