I am very aware that I missed a lot of news yesterday while I was at a show, so I’ll do my best to grab some big ones from the last couple days.
- Let’s start with my favorite announcement from yesterday, the new album from Wormed. Omegon arrives on July 5 through Season of Mist, and an animated video for the first sample from that, “Automaton Virtulague”, is available now.
- Also from yesterday, Unto Others shared a new single titled “Butterfly”. It’s a little different but I still dig it! I guess we can keep an eye out for more new stuff from them and Century Media this year. Not complaining.
- Last thing from yesterday before moving on. Fuming Mouth debuted a new single titled “Daylight Again”, emerging just ahead of their North American tour, which kicks off next week.
- Alright, so what’s new as of today? Well, another one from Season of Mist to start. 1349 shared a new standalone single titled “Ash of Ages”. They’ve got some live dates coming up as well.
- Sect announced a new album. Plagues Upon Plagues is slated for a June 7 release through Southern Lord, so coming up pretty quick relatively speaking. Listen to the first single, “New Low”, right here.
- And in what seems like a common occurrence on Friday’s, we’ll end with some Imperial Triumphant. A new version of 2018’s Vile Luxury was released today, and with it also came a new video for “Lower World (Redux 1924)”.
