My baseline is usually pretty whelmed, but these days I’ve been way over that threshold.

  • We’ll open up with Extinction A.D., who released a new track and video titled “Epidemic Of Mutation”. That’s a sample taken from To The Detested, their new album out on August 16 through Unique Leader. They’ve got dates with Assault kicking off in late August.
  • Hexvessel inked a deal with Prophecy Productions and released a new track titled “Under the Lake”. That’s a multi-album deal and it sounds like details around their seventh studio full-length will be here soon enough.
  • Chat Pile things! The noise rockers announced October 11 as the release date for Cool World, their new album which will be out through The Flenser. A video for the first single, “I Am Dog Now”, can be seen here.
  • And then a dose of blackened speed metal. Knife are releasing a new EP on August 23 through Napalm Records titled Live Leather Hounds. Check out the live video for the debut single “White Witch / Black Death” here.
  • The best thing I came across today? New Gaerea. I’m still at a point where I can’t get enough of this band. A new album, Coma, is set for an October 25 release through Season of Mist. Check out the video for “Hope Shatters” below. And on top of all of that, they’re touring North America in November and December with Zeal & Ardor.
