Boston days are no-Canto days, so that inbox is a fucking MESS right now. *Cracks knuckles* And here. We. Go! (Happy Bandcamp Friday, by the way! Spend lots of money.)
- Let’s start with the return of Mammoth Grinder! A new EP, Undying Spectral Resonance, their first material in six years, gets here on November 15 through Relapse. Check out the title track for that. They’re also on the road this month, if you’re interested.
- Veilburner, the black and death experimental project I have taken a liking for, are releasing The Duality of Decapitation and Wisdom on November 15 as well through Transcending Obscurity. Check out a couple of tracks, “III Visions of Hex-Shaped Hiss, Behead the Howling Spirit” and “Shadows of a Shadow”, over on Bandcamp.
- British doom act Godthrymm unveiled a surprise two-song EP today through Profound Lore, titled The Light. That’s streaming basically everywhere, so have at it.
- Contrition, the Chicago extreme metal act featuring members of Trouble, Chrome Waves, Yakuza, and more, are releasing Pariahs EP on October 18. “Not Today” is streaming here. On Bandcamp. Duh.
- We’ll close out our week with Shallow Rising, the new project from Chris Adler. A video for the single “Remorse Code” can be seen below. There’s also a lyric video floating around for “Further” if you want another taste. Alright. On that note, I think it’s time for a Smithwick’s. Or four.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
