We are so close to beers-on-the-deck season!
- Let’s kick things off with Denver stoner doom specialists Hashtronaut. Their debut album, No Return, is out now through Blues Funeral Recordings, and they have an East Coast tour kicking off in early April. I would like to go to that. Weed!
- This intrigues me. Maine black metal duo Namebearer, a project formed by Brian Tenison (Eave, Obsidian Tongue-live) and joined by Brendan Hayter (Obsidian Tongue, Obsequiae-live, Thrawsunblat) set May 2nd as the release date for Industries Of The Fading Sun. Stream “Jäätyneen Järven Uumenissa” here.
- Meanwhile atmospheric black metal entity Zkarv revealed two new tracks ahead of the release of Cold Lost Blood. Check out “Silent Confliction” and “Fright”. That album is out on… actually I have no idea when it’s out. Meh. We’ll figure it out eventually.
- Solfatare have set May 2nd as the release of their debut album, Asservis par l’espoir, which will be out through Signal Rex. The new track “Du deuil affairé” is available for streaming now.
- I haven’t heard the new Whitechapel album yet, but I’ve been told it’s quite good. The video for “Hate Cult Ritual” is below, and this is my cue to finally give Hymns In Dissonance a listen. That’s out through Metal Blade.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
