It’s finally actually cold out, but the fire sure has been nice to light more regularly. Three more days until it’s time to jump on another plane.

• Finnish avantgarde black and doom metal entity Death Obvious are releasing their self-titled debut album on December 5th through Transcending Obscurity. You can hear “Santuario” and “As Absence Expands Over Everything” through Bandcamp.
• Icelandic and US black metal project Martröð announced their debut will be out a week later through Debemur Morti Productions, titled Draumsýnir eldsins. Give “Sköpunin” a listen here.
• Blackened death thrash outfit Morbikon (led by members of Municipal Waste, Finntroll, and more) unveiled “Ghoul Infested Mausoleum”. Lost Within The Astral Crypts is out on November 21st through Tankcrimes.
• Hexjakt offered up a video for “Monolith”, a sample taken from Blessing of the Damned. That one arrives on December 1st.
• Heavy metallers RivetSkull shared TWO live videos from the 2025 Masters of Rock Festival. “The King is Dead” is available here, and you can watch “The Hammer Falls” directly below. There’s a Dolby Atmos mix of Absence of Time out there as well.
