Coffee and hockey. A pretty legit Saturday morning. Now let’s see what I missed yesterday…

  • Let’s start with something fun. Carpenter Brut are releasing Leather Temple, the final album in the Leather trilogy, on February 27th through No Quarter Prod / Virgin Records and yesterday offered up “Speed Or Perish” as the latest sample from that.
  • For a complete shift in energy, bestial metal outfit Ignobleth have set April 17th as the release date for their debut album Manor of Primitive Anticreation. That will be out through Caligari Records and “Warped Abyssal Architectures” can be heard through Bandcamp.
  • The were a couple of no-doubt AOTY candidates that dropped yesterday, and the first one we’ll mention is Love Is Not Enough. Out through Epitaph, the latest from Converge is indeed a beast. Check out “Bad Faith” as the focus track from that release.
  • And now this is just one I’m having fun saying and typing. Samurai Pizza Cats dropped the new video and single titled “T-Rex(plosion)”, which features Spanish modern metal band Ankor. Their sophomore album, Press Start, is out on March 27th via Century Media Records.
  • Can we end this thing by taking a moment to acknowledge how freaking good Necropalace is?? The new album from Worm is officially out through Century Media as well, so let’s watch the third part of their short film series. Here’s “Witchmoon: The Infernal Masquerade”, which features Marty Friedman.

“Ein Bier… bitte.”
