The 433rd edition of the Nine Circles Playlist is at a loss; most anything I would have put up front this week has been supplied by the rest of the staff. What to do? Do you really want picks that revolve around John Lee Hooker bemoaning the early deaths of Hendrix of Joplin? I didn’t think so, so how about I leave you with the killer new remaster of the lone Heaven & Hell album, a bejeweled crown atop both Ronnie James Dio and Tony Iommi’s illustrious careers.

So what is there that the 9C crew so graciously added for me? We’ve got new tracks from Portrayal of Guilt, BIG|BRAVE, Armored Saint and…Enslaved with a choir? Yup, and we’ve got a pack of Corrosion of Conformity big enough to match Fearless Editor™ Josh’s excitement for that new one. There’s also tracks from Reeking Aura, classic Alcest, and even some Mitski to offset all the extremity.
