This week has been busy. In the inbox and otherwise. Here’s the latest round of things I picked at (sometimes) random…
- Hell of a start tonight… because we’ve got new Khemmis on the way! Their self-titled fifth album, and first since 2021, will be out on June 12th through Nuclear Blast and “Invocation of the Dreamer” can be streamed now. They’ve also got a handful of tour dates lined up this year if you’re interested.
- David Eugene Edwards, and pretty much any project attached to that name, will always get my attention. That said, I’m stoked that he has a new album out on May 22nd through Sargent House titled Mercurial Silence. “Sun Of Manes”, the leading single, is really damn good.
- A new Century Media signing to announce. Graphic Nature have joined the label and promptly dropped the new track “Faceless”. They also have a one-off in London at the end of the month for those across the Atlantic.
- Mathcore/hardcore hybrid project Detach The Islands are releasing Concrete Jungle on May 1st. Their new EP will be released in partnership with Tomb Tree Tapes and the title track can be heard here.
- Let’s bookend this with Nuclear Blast tonight. In closing, we have the new live video from Conjurer for “The Searing Glow”, a track taken from last year’s Unself. That footage is from a London show last November.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
