Speaking of serious weight, this week’s batch of new releases carries a ton kicking off with psychedelic death metal behemoths Wharflurch; at this point anything Gurgling Gore touches is fire so there you go, then we’ve got The Ocean who are still killin’ it in post-metal and are still a heavy 9C fave, next up is Krolok with what has to be one of the best looking album art pieces I’ve seen this year and they’ve got some serious black metal chops to boot, and last up top is Godflesh who own the industrial genre returning with a new, and probably last, effort so get on it while you can. All that and a heavily weighted list below means you’ve got some serious lifting to do. See you ‘round.
