It’s Tuesday!

Remember Alpha Sigma Satan? Our metal fraternity from back in the ‘Cuse days? Yeah, the younger brother of Kevin (our co-host emeritus) will be residing there this coming year. That was the reaction from the landlord of said house upon realizing this. Shit was real in our time.

Anyway, as we ease back into our regularly scheduled programming (and Dan heads off to Steel Panther), there is obviously some catching up to do. Today’s Quickies:

• Goblin Metal, anyone? Nekrogoblikon will be on tour this summer. I would so be there if this didn’t fall during W.O.A. No goblins for me.
• I’m pretty sure most of the new Arch Enemy album will be released in music video form long before the album. Here’s the video for You Will Know My Name. It’s pretty catchy.
• Slayer being covered on a banjo is arguably better than current Slayer. At least this is funny. Slayer doesn’t even have that these days. Well, not on purpose at least.
• There’s going to be a GWARbar (hopefully). This would be awesome. And probably the only reason you’d ever find me in Richmond.
• Wovenwar will be touring with Black Label Society this summer. The artist formerly known as The-Rest-of-the-As-I-Lay-Dying-Guys have some pretty high expectations. I won’t be participating.
• Finally, here’s the artwork for Opeth’s Pale Communion:

Album is out August 25th. Not sure how I feel about the artwork itself, but the Latin quotes are kinda interesting. Anyway, that outta cover it for today. More Quickies tomorrow.
