Another weekend. Thank. Goodness. I’m about to head out for a drink or four, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t close out this week with our usual Friday edition of Quickies. Here’s what we missed out on today:
- So remember when we thought AC/DC might be done for good? Welp, according to singer Brian Johnson, they could be heading back out on the road later this year.
- Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil is apparently getting his own Arena Football League team. Also, looks quite a bit like late-era Mickey Rourke.
- Enjoyed that new Metallica song, “The Lords of Summer”? Good news for the five of you that said “yes”–it’s now available on iTunes.
- And today in “This is a Goddamn Shame,” the Birmingham, UK-music venue that played host to Black Sabbath’s first-ever live show is being sold to a developer from Japan.
- Finally, Lamb of God guitarist Willie Adler apparently co-wrote a song with skateboarder Elliot Sloan, and now there’s a video for it. It’s actually kind of cool until you realize it’s just a commercial for Adler’s new ESP guitar line.
That’ll do it for this week–keep an eye out for Episode 10 and The Dump tomorrow!
