I took yesterday off from Canto because I was getting drunk and watching hockey. As if I needed an excuse. So let’s see what the last couple days had to offer.

• Suffocation have announced a stretch of shows in November around Housecore Horror Fest. If you get a chance, check out one of these shows. Suffocation is awesome and they kick ass live.
• Album sales, because we haven’t done that in awhile. Check out the opening figures to big releases from Deafheaven and Children of Bodom. Clutch won, though.
• Metallica have made their stance on bringing Metalocalypse to Hulu quite clear. In an awesome move, Metallica sent a letter to Hulu, with a bunch of guitar picks, requesting a new season of our favorite cartoon. Because we’re adults.
• For those unaware, Jeza Sanders, wife of Mastodon bassist/vocalist Troy Sanders was diagnosed with breast cancer. The prognosis looks good, but obviously they are both in our thoughts.
• I’m glad there are black metal bands out there that are all about having fun with themselves. In true Black Satans mode, Woods of Trees took to the streets of Prague to play something you might not expect.
