Good morning, it’s time to metal. Here’s some news you might have missed from yesterday:
-
- Leading off, Shining frontman Niklas Kvarforth did a whole bunch of Niklas Kvarforth things and got the band’s show in Portland cancelled. Also: the sky is blue.
-
- Ahead of the release of their new album, Vengeful Ascension, next month, Goatwhore have announced a near-month-long run of U.S. and Canadian tour dates with support from Anciients. If this was coming anywhere near me, I’d check it out, but sadly…it isn’t.
-
- Speaking of things I’d check out if I could: Between the Buried and Me have announced a special tour to commemorate the 10th anniversary of their landmark album, Colors. I will be away at school when this comes to Philly. Balls.
-
- Hey, look, another new Mutoid Man song! This one’s called “Bandages” and features Chelsea Wolfe. Check it out here.
-
- Expulsion — a new supergroup featuring members of Exhumed, Repulsion, Intronaut and more — has signed with Relapse Records. The band’s debut album drops on July 21, but in the meantime, you can peep lead single, “Altar of Slaughter,” here.
- And finally…fuck, I can’t believe I’m including this, but whatever, there weren’t any other videos today: here’s a new one from DragonForce. I know, I know, I know, I hate myself, too. Whatever, just check it out:
I guess DragonForce has a new album out sometime soon, but you can find that information out on your own. Anyway, that’ll do it for now — check back this time tomorrow for our next edition!
Keep it heavy,
Dan
