Ols, the one-woman dark neofolk project out of Poland, has revealed a haunting new video for “W ciemny las,” serving as the second single taken from the upcoming new album, Widma, out April 17th through Pagan Records. Translating to “Into A Dark Forest,” this song and visual offers an immensely somber and introspective journey, set entirely in the natural environment. Exploring a range of thought and emotion, it is as complex as it is compelling both in sight and sound. Today, Nine Circles is extremely proud to premiere both the track and video.

Nine Circles ov… Lordi Music Videos
So I was sitting around a couple weeks ago, begrudgingly scrolling through some social media platform (while contemplating if this would indeed be the moment the internet finally made me stab my eyes out), when I saw a light far off in the distance. And by distance I mean slightly further down the page. What was this beacon I stumbled upon? Lordi. Mother. Freaking. Lordi. And just like that, inspiration struck.
CANTO: Bloodbath, Anaal Nathrakh, Misery Index and more!
Oh hey, it’s me! Yep, I still have time to do these things sometimes. Like, once in a blue moon. Apparently, nursing school and a complete absence from social media aren’t conducive to consistent metal blogging. Who knew? Anyway, we’re already late on this, so I’ll shut up. Here’s some stuff you might have missed from today:
- Leading off, Bloodbath have been forced to cancel their North American tour dates — including their planned stop at Maryland Deathfest later this week — due to that old so-and-so, visa issues. [Evergreen sentiment here, but: you’re a real turd, visa issues!] Bloodbath joins Darkspace, Chthe’ilist, Blk Ops, Zemial, Baptism, Misþyrming, My Dying Bride, and Dagon’s Caravan of Awful [Alleged] Behaviors and Worldviews on this year’s MDF cancellation list.
CANTO: Converge, Primitive Man, Act of Defiance, and more!

9/27/2017. Over the hump.
- Converge news for all the Converge fans out there. The band dropped a new single, “Reptilian”, and announced a run of shows in December. Their newest album, The Dusk In Us, will be out November 3rd.
- Act of Defiance have released a new track, “The Talisman”. Old Scars, New Wounds, drops at the end of this week. So go check that out.
- Any techdeath fans out there remember Augury? It’s been a decade since they dropped their last album. But, surprise! They’ve signed with The Artisan Era and may have something out next year.
- Our video of the day comes from Primitive Man. It’s a brutal visual display for “Victim”. NSFW, just FYI.
Caustic will be out on October 6th. And we all know it’s going to be massive.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
