MNRVA - Black Sky

When taking cues for your band name from the Roman goddess of wisdom, arts, and warfare, the music must deliver on all fronts. SC’s doom metallers MNRVA tick off all the boxes on their debut three track EP, Black Sky, which was recorded in the same space as Baroness, Black Tusk, and Kylesa, to name a few. The fact that this trio started out as a Motörhead tribute band isn’t lost on the intensity of these syrupy thick tracks that range in influence from Electric Wizard to Void King and all with a distinct 80s heavy metal vibe running through its entire 18 minutes. To say this is a great start for a young band would be an understatement. Today, we are extremely pleased to bring you a premiere of Black Sky, in its entirety, so head directly below to hear it ahead of its official release tomorrow.
