Perfect conditions for a run tonight, with Cattle Decapitation providing the soundtrack… “What a wondrous lifeeee this would have been, but I’m outnumbered. Like the stars at nightttt, there’s so many of us… that need to die. Like a swarm of fliessss, there’s too many of us.”
- Starting with a tour. Gatecreeper are on the road again in September and October with Frozen Soul and Worm. This falls into that “can’t miss” category for me, having just caught them a few months ago. General admission tickets go on sale Friday (scroll to find the dates and links).
- Prosthetic Records announced a new signing in Glacial Tomb. Self-described as sludge-corrupted death metal, they’ll release their sophomore album, Lightless Expanse, on September 20. “Abyssal Host” premiered over at Decibel today.
- Thrash legends Sadus dropped a lyric video for “The Devil in Me”, which arrives just head of their European festival schedule. That track, by the way, is pulled from The Shadow Inside, their latest album which dropped towards the end of last year through Nuclear Blast.
- Time to work in a little black metal. Mork have set September 20 as the release date of Syv, which will be released through Peaceville Records. Check out the first single, “Utbrent”, right here.
- And to close, a new track and video from Mamaleek for “Legion of Bottom Deck Dealers”. No idea what this sounds like so I’m relying on everyone else to tell me if it’s any good. As usual. Vida Blue is out on August 9 through The Flenser.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
