Not gonna lie: been in a bit of a musical rut lately, unable to muster the patience to sit through entire albums, flitting from record to record searching for a certain sound no one – even my favorites are giving to me.

(The exception is of course my mighty Darkthrone – I gave the new 30th anniversary reissue of Transylvanian Hunger three spins and it sounds as gloriously shitty as ever)

So I’m leaving the vast majority of the playlist pics to the 9C staff who as usual got you covered. We’re kicking off with the return of Blood Incantation which everyone is over the moon for (I’m more just okay, but super happy with the Pink Floyd and Tangerine Dream moments), and new Schammasch which I’m very over the moon for. We’ve also got new Gaerea, The Halo Effect, Ingurgitating Oblivion, Crippled Black Phoenix, some old fashioned rock and roll from The Shackletons, and the mighty return of The Cure. Plus more because we’re us, after all!
