This Monday offered… something! I’ll let you know when I figure out what that something is.
- We’ll start with Kings of Mercia. They just released their sophomore album through Metal Blade, titled Battle Scars. So, to celebrate the release, they dropped a new video for the title track.
- Noise rock quartet Chat Pile also released their sophomore album recently, Cool World, through The Flenser. With a North American tour set to kick off, they released a video for “Frownland”, a track taken from that effort.
- The Gates of Slumber, the doom crew out of Indiana, are releasing their first new full-length since 2011. The self-titled album arrives on November 29 via Svart Records, and “Embrace the Lie” can be heard here.
- Portrayal of Guilt are releasing Christf**ker II, a remix album that includes collaborations with Pictureplane, DJ Speedstick, Buzz Kull, and more. That will be out on Halloween through Run For Cover. Check out the video for the new version of “…where the suffering never ends”.
- And we’ll close out with Iotunn and their video for “Earth to Sky”. Kinship is out now through Metal Blade, and let me tell you, it’s a beaut.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
