The 401st edition of the Nine Circles Playlist doesn’t want to kill you with all the Uriah Heep I’ve been listening to lately, but 2008’s Wake The Sleeper is killer, so you get a small taste followed by some epic trad metal courtesy of the new Phantom Spell as well as some recent stoner metal discoveries like Aawks and Apewards.

I guess we’re still doing the “Bands That Begin With the Letter “A”” thing because we also got the 9C crew representing with Agriculture. But then the alphabet gets mercifully mixed with new Tribal Gaze, Bask, Gloombound, acoustic Panopticon, and live King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizzard. There’s a lot more (new Gaerea, anyone?), but you’ll have to dig in to get to it all.
