One week. One more week until vacation.
- We start with The Ocean and the very cool new track “Belligerence”. It’s a step up in weight and energy from the preceding “Light Pollution” so needless to say my excitement for Solaris is soaring at this point. Their new album is out on September 25th through Pelagic Records.
- Next up, Chicago-based sludge/doom crew Shrineburner are releasing their debut album, Hymns Of Despair, on September 11th. Stream “Spectral Cataclysm”, the leading single, through Bandcamp.
- Nashville’s Lockstep shared a bit of a chilling new track titled “Solvent Sound”, the latest from I Know What I Saw. Their new album is out on July 24th through Profound Lore and a U.S. run kicks off a month later.
- More tour things. Soulfly are on the road with Nailbomb and Incite in September and October, following an appearance at Louder Than Life. General admission tickets for that one go on sale tomorrow.
- Lots of stuff to report from Crown Magnetar so let’s wrap up there. The Hollowing Of Godflesh, their next album, is out on September 25th through Unique Leader and a video for “Godkiller” is below. They also have a co-headlining run with To The Grave running in September and October. Here’s that ticket link.
