The 452nd edition of the Nine Circles Playlist is sweating, man. There ain’t enough Gold Bond in the world, is what I’m saying, you know? Anyway, lots of cool music: John Carpenter finally went and released a rock album; Anthrax continues putting out solid singles for their next one, and since I’m the old school guy, we’ll stay there with some classic Acheron, remastered and as filthy as it ever was…

The rest of the 9C offices are fighting the heat as well, but came prepared with some Hulder, new Prong coming in hot, and a remaster of the debut from Zeal and Ardor are fresh on deck. But wait, he said: there’s more! Foundational Agalloch! New Ch’ahom! ARCHGOAT, which I always confused with Acheron! And hey, one of my favorite albums of the year came out, and even though they seem to get progressively less heavy, the latest from Papangnu is the bee’s knees.
