The 463rd edition of the Nine Circles Playlist wishes more bands would stretch out of their comfort zone. I might be in the minority, but this is the first time both Wolves in the Throne Room and Enslaved have impressed me with something that moves beyond the same old platters they’ve been serving over the last few releases. Also when I was writing this intro I saw that Master has a new release. Even that dude’s moving into newer production experiments and thrash accents in his lo-fi black metal…I dig.

The rest of the 9C staff are slowly evolving their own quirks and fetishes (no yucking of yams here) but found the time to send in the likes of Tony Iommi‘s new solo effort, the return of Disfear, some Palegazer and late-era Alcest to bolster your weekend plans.

Get listening. Stay safe. See you next week.
