The week’s over, so let’s make these, well…quick. Here are today’s Quickies—let’s see what we missed in the metal world:

  • Very sad news from the Twisted Sister camp today, as drummer A.J. Pero passed away at age 55. Rest in peace, A.J.
  • Needed further fuel on the rumor that Chris Adler‘s working with Megadeth? Photographic evidence has surfaced of the Lamb of God drummer on a “taco date” with Dave Mustaine. Hmmm…
  • A new report suggests that the members of Metallica have, since 2010, lost more money than they’ve made. Which…when you focus your efforts on an ill-conceived concert film and the worst album of your career…tends to happen.
  • SHOTS FIRED: In a new interview, Faith No More keyboardist Roddy Bottum called bands like Limp Bizkit or KoRn “bad music.” Basically…these guys are awesome at calling stuff like it is. Remember Mike Patton’s rant against Wolfmother?
  • In case you missed it yesterday, Misery Index and Lord Dying are going to be touring in April! May 1 at St. Vitus would be fantastic if I wasn’t going out of town. Balls.

Honestly, not seeing many (/any) good videos today, so I’ll leave you there. Check back tomorrow for Episode 44!

Keep it heavy,

-Dan
