Another week is underway! It’s been a busy one already, so let’s keep the party going!
- I want start of by wishing a farewell to Wes Craven. The pioneer of horror passed away at 76 after a battle with brain cancer. I owe many of my childhood memories to his work and you can bet I’ll be watching A Nightmare on Elm Street tonight in his honor.
- Troubling news from Motorhead, as they had to cancel a second on their current tour. The Salt Lake City show was canceled before the weekend, and it turns out they had to cancel the Denver date as well. The thin air is not doing Lemmy well. This sucks.
- Looking at some numbers, recent album sales show a strong opening for Disturbed and Ghost. Disturbed topped the list with Ghost sliding in at 8.
- Ozzy is back working on a new solo album. Nothing at that specific at the moment. But hey! He’s still trying! High-five.
- Album released and tour complete, At The Gates have dropped a live video for “The Book of Sand (The Abomination)” to show they are still, in fact, doing things:
Hey look! I didn’t mention the VMAs OR that new Slayer song at all! I’ll consider today a success.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
